Whats been going on?

Well lots has been happening over the past couple of weeks. Andrew is growing but he hasn't been born yet. Kristi is so anxious for Andrew to come into the world. On her last visit he was getting close to the 8 pound mark and he still has officially has 3 weeks to go. He could easily top the 9 - 10 pound mark. It's pretty exciting to think that in a couple of weeks that we could have our young boy at home.

I finished up the nursery yesterday by getting a ceiling fan up. Now its all ready for him to come home. The room is the first major undertaking in our home with paint, border, and all the fixings. We think it turned out really nice. We will be adding one other picture soon called "The Spectator". Its a great print of some young boys out playing hockey on a frozen pond. Watching them is their best friend, a golden retriever.

Speaking of hockey....how bout the extension of Tomas Vokoun's contract through 2011. It's worth over 22 million dollars. Kristi was so happy because now her favorite hockey player will be here for some time to come. It also means Andrew will be almost five when his contract expires. I wonder what number Andrew will want on his jersey. Something tells me its gonna be a big 29.

A while back on ebay I was lucky enough to get a really nice copy of an original 1958 park map of Disneyland. Its in great shape with no tack holes or tears. This is the first year that the park had the big fold out maps. Well if you are a Disney fan like us then its a big Disney treat. We are having it framed at Picture This (our frame shop of choice) and it will be ready on Saturday. The owner there sent me a snapshot of how it will look when done the other day. I'll attach that shot to this post so you can see. Matt uses some high tech equipment which will take the map and just a corner piece of the frame to finish the entire picture. Check it out....its going to look great on our wall when we pick it up this weekend.

More to come later. As soon as we get some news on Andrew we will post it for everyone. Once Andrew does arrive we plan on starting his own site. It's in the works but locked until we get some more information there.
